You couldn't get in the chow line if you didn't wear your flack jacket at dinner time. When the 155's started a fire mission, it was not uncommon to see plates flying. Nate on the left, Jack on the right from 2-3 squad. The 2 stood for 2nd Platoon, the 3 stood for the third squad. When communicating by radio one use these abbreviations to identify who was talking (which track).
