Acknowledgement: We would like to thank Kirk Ramsey, 2nd bn 14th Infantry, one of our sister units in Vietnam. Kirk personally created 218 electronic Issues of the Tropic Lightning News starting in the late 1990's and all of them were done by hand, from various printed copies, often aged and wrinkled! The early issues took him about forty hours each, and sometimes more for the early 1966 issues that contained twelve instead of the usual eight pages. He scanned the photos and restored them carefully in Photoshop, hand typing up the text to go with them, laying out the pages, and so on (and sometimes even carefully ironing the pages if they were badly creased or wrinkled!). Thank you Kirk for creating a lasting legacy that we can search, read, reprint and research. This was a tremendous personal effort on your part.
